Stansted airport is the third busiest airport in the United Kingdom. Just 34 miles north east of London, the airport handles over 23 million passengers a year, with Domestic, European and International destinations.

The airport is also an important centre for air freight services to and from destinations throughout the world.

Stansted airport was originally a war time American Airforce base, and became popular in the 1960's with the advent of the package holiday. The airport has expanded rapidly over the last 20 years, and now a mixture of scheduled and charter flights.

More than 41 airlines have services from Stansted, including Ryanair, Easy Jet, Kibris Turkish Airlines, Aegean Airlines, Pakistan International Airlines, Pegasus, Air Moldova, Air Berlin, Aurigny, Turkish Airlines, Cyprus Airways, Airt Malta,Iceland Express, and several smaller airlines, Charter and Travel companies.
